The word usher has a meaning of an official door keeper, or one whose duty it is to show people to their seats or to escort others. Our ushers do just that and much more as they serve the Lord in His house. You will first find our ushers at the side walk or street, helping those who need assistance out of their car, at the steps and at the door with a welcomed smile or hand shake. The ushers work hand in hand with the sacristans to keep the order of the services. They administer to the people by escorting, giving direction and answering questions. They rope off pews for special functions. They pass the plates to collect the tithes. They release for communion. Some of the ushers are used for the gates, some are catchers when the Undershepherd calls out healings or does anointings. Ushers help with security and our Undershepherd. They walk the people to their cars when needed. The usherí's ministry is comprised of man or women from priest, first & second deaconates, chapter members and anyone who is called to this ministry and signs the book or writes a letter of intent to the Elders. If you are interested in joining and serving with the ushers please contact the Deacon Br. Joseph Demar for how you can join.
